Job summary

The General Hospital Corporation in Boston is seeking an Environmental Services Associate for an evening shift. This part-time position offers 25 hours per week, with a schedule from 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM at 55 Fruit Street.

You will support and assist in environmental service projects, ensuring a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients, staff, and visitors in the clinic. Prior cleaning experience and knowledge of infection control are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• 1-2 years experience in environmental services, housekeeping, or a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and implementation of environmental service projects (deep cleaning, renovations, equipment maintenance).
• Follow project schedules and task assignments to ensure timely completion.
• Coordinate with Environmental Services and other departments to minimize disruption to patient care.
• Perform routine cleaning tasks: dusting, mopping, vacuuming, disinfecting.
• Adhere to cleaning protocols, infection control guidelines, and safety procedures.
• Use cleaning agents and equipment to maintain cleanliness and prevent infections.
