Job summary

Advocate Health in Milwaukee is seeking a dedicated Environmental Services worker to maintain patient areas, restrooms, and common spaces, ensuring a clean, safe, and hygienic environment.

This full-time role features an evening shift from 3:00pm to 11:30pm with every other weekend and holiday coverage. The compensation reflects a competitive pay range and eligibility for Advocate Health’s comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• No Formal Education.
• No experience required.
• Ability to follow and understand oral and written instructions.
• Ability to work alone and understand the physical layouts of facilities.
• Performs tasks without disrupting others.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Clean patient care areas, surgical areas, restrooms, conference rooms, lobbies, offices, elevators and stairwells.
• Clean all environmental surfaces including ceilings, walls, doors, and windows; assist with spills.
• Dust and damp mop floors in patient and exam areas, corridors and restrooms.
• Replace cubicle and window coverings.
• Collect and dispose recyclables, trash, and medical waste following infection control guidelines.
• Sort, stock and deliver linens and prepare soiled linen for transport.
• Prepare and distribute supplies to designated areas and manage dispensers.
• Inventory linens and cleaning supplies and order replenishments as needed.
