Job summary

UPMC Environmental Services is hiring an Environmental Services Associate to help maintain a hospital environment that supports healing, safety, and exceptional care. This full-time role covers evenings from 2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., with weekends and holidays rotation.

Responsibilities

• Make beds, follow cleaning procedures in patient discharge rooms and on-call rooms
• Inspect and ensure areas are clean and in good repair; report problems
• Replenish paper towels, toilet paper, and soap in all locations
• Clean patient rooms, public areas, toilets, procedure rooms, offices and equipment
• Maintain equipment in clean, working condition; report issues
• Remove trash from assigned areas
• Follow safety and sanitation regulations
• Move equipment, furniture, boxes, wash walls, spot carpets as assigned
