Job summary

Pomerene Hospital in Millersburg, Ohio is seeking an Environmental Services Associate to maintain a clean, safe environment for patients, visitors and staff. The role requires attention to infection prevention and adherence to hospital policies.

Responsibilities include cleaning patient rooms, common areas, and clinical spaces, with a tentative 3:00PM–11:30PM shift. The hospital offers comprehensive benefits such as health, life, and disability insurance, tuition reimbursement, PTO, and a 403(b)

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED is required or preferred.
• General/Entry Level Position.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment and follow hospital procedures.

Responsibilities

• Bathrooms: clean and disinfect fixtures, floors, mirrors, windows and walls daily.
• Patient Rooms: perform terminal cleaning and prepare rooms for new occupants.
• Fixtures, surfaces & furniture: dust, wipe, sanitize, and arrange items as needed.
• Floors & Carpets: sweep, mop, vacuum, and sanitize floors.
• Laundry: handle waste removal and laundry tasks.
• Stairways: spot-clean walls and clean floors.
• Windows: spot-clean and sanitize between washings.
• End of Shift: return supplies, clean equipment, and store carts properly.
• Policies & Procedures: follow hospital policies and infection control guidelines.
• Supplies & Area Conditions: notify manager of low supplies or issues.
