Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write and speak English.
• Solid work history as a prerequisite.
• Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
• Fit testing requirement must be met.
• Prior housekeeping in hospital or institutional setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean nursing units, patients' rooms, and designated areas using proper equipment.
• Follow cleaning, disinfecting and deodorization procedures.
• Clean spills promptly and restock housekeeping carts at shift end.
• Remove trash and linen within the hospital; handle biohazard materials safely.
• Report repairs to maintenance and attend department meetings.
• Handle bodily fluids and assist with environment-related duties.
