Metro Health Hospital is seeking a Spiritual Care Chaplain for the Evening shift (0.6 FTE, 24 hours/week) to provide spiritual care, education and support to patients, staff and visitors across faiths at Grand Rapids area hospital. The candidate should hold a M.Div.

and have CPE in a hospital setting; certification in ethics or organ procurement is a plus, with APC/NAC chaplain certification preferred and at least two years hospital experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Theological training required; M.Div. degree and one unit of Certified Pastoral Experience (CPE) in hospital setting.
• Ethics, organ procurement and end-of-life care training/certification is preferred and highly desirable.
• Board Certification by APC or NAC chaplains preferred; two years hospital chaplaincy experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Provide education to patients, staff and visitors on the role of spiritual care within Metro Health Hospital regardless of faith or religious preferences.
• Maintain a positive working relationship with local clergy in the surrounding area of Metro Health Hospital.
