Job summary

Blue Ridge Care is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) for evening hospice care in a full‑time capacity. Responsibilities include providing specialized hospice nursing, symptom management, and family support in home settings across the service area.

The role requires an active Virginia RN license, strong assessment skills, and the ability to travel within Blue Ridge Care territory. Evening shifts (8 or 10 hours) with every‑other‑weekend work are required.

Qualifications

• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and clinical decision‑making skills.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
• Current Virginia RN license required or eligible for licensure.

Responsibilities

• Respond to urgent patient and family needs during evening hours.
• Provide direct hospice nursing care and symptom management.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care.
• Complete accurate clinical documentation and care plans.
