Job summary

Clin-Path Diagnostics, LLC in Phoenix seeks a Lab Assistant - Embedder to perform embedding tissue samples, load and unload surgical specimens on tissue processors, and support daily histology operations. The role requires working a 7:00 PM to 3:30 AM shift and maintaining strict safety and quality standards.

The successful candidate will assist the Histology department, perform quality control documentation, and help maintain clean equipment and work areas while complying with CAP, CLIA, OSHA,

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Prior lab or healthcare experience preferred.
• Ability to accurately enter and verify information in lab systems.
• Ability to follow written procedures and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Embeds tissue samples according to established procedures.
• Loads/unloads surgical specimens on tissue processors.
• Files blocks and slides as needed.
• Maintains equipment and supplies in clean condition.
• Performs daily quality control documentation.
• Adheres to safety procedures when handling hazardous waste.
