Job summary

Bodycote in Roselle, NJ is seeking a Heat Treater C to perform heat treatment operations under supervision to meet customer specifications. The role is safety‑sensitive and requires full‑time availability (1 pm–10 pm, Mon–Fri) with potential overtime.

Candidates should have a high school diploma, at least six months in heat treating, and a working knowledge of metallurgy. ITAR compliance applies; forklift certification may be required.

Qualifications

• US Citizens or Permanent Residents due to ITAR compliance.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum six months experience in heat treating.
• Working knowledge of metallurgy and temperatures.
• Overtime or any shift, including weekends may be required.
• Must obtain and maintain forklift operation certification.
• Must read, write and communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Assist with operations, control and monitoring of heat treating and related equipment as required and written in procedures on shop traveler and/or customer paperwork.
• Prepare work for processing; load and unload furnaces, bins, fixtures, baskets, etc.
• Bring any unusual problem or irregularity to the attention of supervisor.
• Practice and promote safety and good housekeeping.
• Perform other tasks as assigned or dictated by position
• Responsible for the care and treatment of our customer’s inventory and perform duties in a safe and responsible manner to prevent customer loss or damage
• Must have the ability to report for work on time, follow directions, interact effectively with co-workers, understand and follow rules and procedures and accept constructive criticism
