Job summary

YouthBuild Philadelphia Charter School is seeking a part-time Healthcare Instructor for the Evening School (YouthBuild Philly Flex). You will plan and deliver hands-on healthcare skills, guide students toward CPR, First Aid, HHA, CNA and related certifications, and support grading and student motivation.

You will mentor a small cohort, coordinate guest speakers, site visits, and ensure lab safety while tracking progress in PowerSchool. Join a startup culture focused on persistence and graduation.

Qualifications

• Experience working in the healthcare field required
• CNA certification preferred
• CPR and First Aid instructor certification preferred
• Experience working with youth or alternative education settings preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare or related field preferred

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver hands-on healthcare skills instruction in lab and classroom settings
• Prepare students for CPR, First Aid, HHA, CNA, and other relevant certifications
• Assess student mastery and provide frequent, actionable feedback
• Maintain lab safety, equipment, and instructional materials
• Coordinate guest speakers, site visits, and industry exposure opportunities
• Track student progress and communicate progress through PowerSchool
• Provide mentorship to a cohort of 4–5 students
