Job summary

Personalized Nursing LIGHT House is seeking an Evening Group Therapist to support substance use disorder treatment programs across Southeast Michigan. The role may be based at our Plymouth site, with coverage at other locations as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or related field required.
• Master’s licensure required if applicable to the position (preferred).
• CADC, CADC-DP, CADDC, or MCBAP Development Plan required; PNLH will assist with certification.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and group facilitation skills.
• Basic computer skills; willingness to learn internal systems and documentation processes.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate therapeutic group sessions in a safe, respectful, and structured environment.
• Assess client needs and participation levels; adjust content as clinically appropriate.
• Encourage engagement, manage group dynamics, promote healthy interpersonal interactions.
• Develop and implement group topics, activities, and psychoeducational content aligned with treatment goals.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential documentation of group services and client progress.
• Collaborate with the treatment team to support continuity of care and client progress.
