Job summary

Cape Henlopen District is seeking a part-time Groundskeeper I to support the District Office and school facilities in Lewes, DE. The role focuses on snow removal, cleaning, and grounds maintenance to ensure a sanitary, safe environment for students and staff.

Responsibilities include lawn and weight room area upkeep, cleaning offices and floors, responding to cleanup needs, and coordinating with the Chief Custodian.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid state driver's license.
• Successful background check.
• Drug test and fingerprinting required.

Responsibilities

• Groundskeeper is responsible for snow removal when needed.
• Maintain cleanliness of District Office Building and Weight Room.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff.
• Work independently and with a team; punctual and reliable.
• Respond to emergency cleanup needs and ensure a safe environment.
