Qualifications

• 3 years of food service leadership experience preferred.
• 2-3 years of professional cooking experience required.
• ServSafe Certification or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Experience with dining and catering programs preferred.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation.

Responsibilities

• Supervise staff and oversee evening operations in the café and student center, ensuring high-quality service, food presentation, and customer satisfaction.
• Prepare and cook food using TurboChef ovens, perform food preparation tasks, and maintain prepared items in food warmers in accordance with food safety and temperature control standards.
• Oversee the setup, cleanliness, and ongoing maintenance of cafeteria areas and food service stations to ensure quality, safety, and presentation standards are met.
• Assist leadership with staff supervision, evaluating staffing needs, and supporting purchasing, inventory management, and product availability.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and healthy environment for clients, customers, and employees in compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.
• Promote an inclusive, welcoming environment for staff and guests while fostering positive, service-focused client and customer relationships.
• Provide support for catering events and special functions as needed.
