Job summary

Webster Public Schools is seeking a Part-Time Evening ASE English Language Arts and Social Studies Teacher. The instructor will provide high-quality, evidence-based GED/HiSET instruction for adult learners at the GLE 9–10 level, in a HyFlex classroom with in-person and remote participation.

Responsibilities include planning standards-based lessons, assessing progress, and collaborating with the Assistant Director of Curriculum and Instruction.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering GED/HiSET or high school equivalency instruction is preferred.
• Familiarity with HSE English Language Arts and Social Studies standards.
• Ability to evaluate student progress and adjust instruction accordingly.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver standards-aligned HSE ELA and Social Studies instruction for adults at GLE 9–10.
• Teach reading, writing, grammar, vocabulary, and critical analysis of texts.
• Foster a supportive, engaging, and rigorous learning environment in a HyFlex setting.
