Job summary

Indiana University is seeking a part-time student employee to support the Jewish Culture Center at IU Bloomington. The role involves front desk duties, basic administrative support, event/logistics assistance, and light kitchen tasks during programs.

You must be an enrolled IU student and able to work in the IU Hillel building on campus. Hours are 16 per week, with a schedule Monday-Thursday 5:00 pm–9:00 pm and Friday 3:00 pm–9:00 pm; compensation is hourly with a range appropriate for student

Qualifications

• Enrolled student at Indiana University.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and organization.
• Experience and comfort working in a campus environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet students and visitors at the front desk in a friendly, professional manner.
• Manage front desk operations and sign-in records.
• Answer general inquiries and provide information about IU Jewish Culture Center and Hillel programs.
• Provide light administrative support and assist with events and programs logistics.
• Support kitchen-related tasks during programs, including setup and basic cooking prep.
• Clean and sanitize work areas, assist with inventory and restock supplies.
• Perform other tasks or special projects as assigned by supervisor.
