Job summary

CrossCountry Freight Solutions is seeking a Freight Handler Lead in Salt Lake City, UT. This role emphasizes safety-first leadership, accountability for the team, and capability to perform daily warehouse tasks while ensuring operations run smoothly.

The position reports to the Operations Supervisor and requires lifting and maneuvering freight, with a Monday–Friday shift from 2:30pm to 10:30pm. Join CCFS and advance your leadership career in logistics.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old.
• Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 90 pounds.
• Previous forklift experience – preferred.
• Previous supervisory or management experience - preferred.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all team members are on time and ready for work.
• Inspect the dock to ensure a clean and safe work environment.
• Coordinate dock operations with dispatch.
• Meet with Operations Supervisors for daily assignments.
• Assist with loading and unloading a wide variety of freight.
