Job summary

The Wilmington Group in Barrington, NJ is seeking a Full Time Mobile Equipment Operator for the 2nd shift (4:30 PM–2:30 AM) to operate forklift and/or skid steer safely and maintain production.

Candidates should have 2+ years of experience in heavy industrial or recycling environments, a strong safety mindset, and the ability to perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting as needed.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience operating skid steers, forklifts, or similar mobile equipment.
• Experience in heavy industrial or recycling environments is a plus.
• Experience performing basic mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Following all plant safety guidelines.
• Loading/unloading material from trailers.
• Ensuring correct quality of material that is handled.
• Ensuring accuracy and recording of weights.
• Performing pre‑ and post‑trip inspections of mobile and stationary equipment.
• Assisting with preventative maintenance tasks to support uptime and safe operation.
• Identifying, troubleshooting, and reporting mechanical or operational issues on mobile and stationary equipment.
• Performing basic mechanical maintenance and minor repairs as assigned.
• General plant housekeeping.
