Job summary

Sonoco Products Company in DeForest, Wisconsin is seeking a Material Handler to operate a forklift and move raw materials and finished goods. This full-time role runs 6pm–2am, starting Sunday at 6pm, with a hourly wage of $29.38.

You will unload, inspect, stage materials, ensure correct identification and labeling, replenish supplies, and keep the warehouse safe and organized while adhering to food safety practices.

Qualifications

• Operates forklift in a fast-paced environment.
• Prioritizes safety and regulatory compliance.
• Familiar with LP gas tank handling rules and safety.
• Uses banders and stretch wrappers in packaging processes.
• Willing to work scheduled shifts and overtime when required.

Responsibilities

• Operates forklift during routine duties.
• Unloads, inspects, and stages raw materials, scrap dunnage, packaging materials, chemicals, and supplies.
• Removes finished products from production areas with proper identification, banding, and labeling.
• Replenishes supplies in assigned areas.
• Reviews warehouse production control schedule to determine shipping and receiving duties.
• Ensures finished goods are properly documented for shipment.
• Stages and loads finished goods and materials per schedule.
• Lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
• Maintains a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Supports and follows food safety guidelines.
