Job summary

RRD is seeking a forklift/operator to support shipping and material handling in Wisconsin. The role includes operating forklifts, moving finished products, staging shipments, and maintaining inventory accuracy within a busy manufacturing environment.

The position offers shifts (1st) from 6:30 AM to 2:30 PM with potential overtime, and pay ranges from $16.50 to $18.00 per hour, plus benefits. Safety and proper equipment maintenance are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Must know forklift dimensions and load capacity.
• Ability to judge doorway/aisle clearances for forklift operation.
• Knowledge of storage area layout to place items without detailed instructions.
• Skilled at moving forklifts in tight spaces and narrow aisles.
• Greater knowledge than Hoist Operator 1 in handling controls for forklifts.
• Capable of operating forklift through ramps and railcars; lifting and tilting forks as needed.
• Can assess load balance and lifting requirements to ensure safety.

Responsibilities

• Operates equipment to move finished product for shipping or storage.
• Supplies Manufacturing Department with materials as needed.
• Stages product to be moved or shipped.
• Racks unused supplies and maintains inventory of type, amount, and location.
• Transports and processes manufacturing paper by-products.
• Empties trash hoppers and performs housekeeping duties as needed.
• Performs daily inspections on hoist and reports maintenance needs.
• May service batteries: inspecting, recharging and replacing batteries and lubricating moving parts.
• May include changing LP/Propane.
• Adheres to safety policies and procedures (hazardous waste handling, lockout-tagout, PPE).
• Performs other duties and participates in special projects as assigned.
