Job summary

Ryder Supply Chain Solutions in Burlington, NC, is seeking a Temp to Hire Material Handler on the second shift (5:00 PM - 1:30 AM) with weekly pay. Pay includes $16.00 per hour base plus $1.00 per hour shift premium.

Work involves operating a stand-up forklift and data entry into WMS systems in a safety-focused warehouse environment. Minimum two years of related warehouse experience and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds are required; overtime may be needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of two years of related warehouse and powered industrial lift experience required.
• Ability to read, do basic mathematics, and follow safety instructions in English.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
• Ability to input data into computer systems.
• Overtime may be required.

Responsibilities

• Read, interpret, and apply Warehouse Management System (WMS) order instructions
• Recognize and correct potential process errors before actions affect the customer
• Recognize damaged product and take appropriate action when discovered
• Pull orders accurately as assigned
• Stage orders according to carrier location and verify pallets
• Prepare receiving, storage and shipping documentation
• Be aware of and follow safety policies and procedures
• May train others in warehouse functions and operate forklift equipment
