Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. in Tarboro, NC is seeking a Material Handler to join our warehouse team on the first shift (7:00am–3:00pm). The role involves operating forklifts, handling electronic repair parts, and supporting a safe, efficient supply chain environment.

You will be paid weekly at $20.50/hour with overtime at $30.75/hour and receive comprehensive benefits after 30 days. This is a full-time position with paid training and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred.
• Valid Forklift Operator's License certified.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse functions including loading, picking, packing, shipping and forklift operation.
• Accurately pick/pack and stage products for shipment.
• Maintain day-to-day paperwork such as picking sheets and bills of lading.
• Support maintenance for automated packing systems during core shift hours.
• Work within performance metrics of the contract.
