Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Prior warehousing or freight handling experience preferred.
• Ability to count and perform basic math with or without a calculator.
• Basic written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds and handle vary weights several times per day.

Responsibilities

• Transport freight across dock area to/from trailers for loading to trailers.
• Operate forklift, pallet jack and hand truck as needed.
• Verify freight documents match description (type, weight, hazmat) in system.
• Secure freight inside trailers using pallets, straps or rope.
• Recoup/repair damaged freight when necessary and complete reports.
• Assist customers with freight documentation as needed.
• Perform hostling duties if required.
• Follow laws, regulations and FedEx policies; perform other duties as required.
