Valley Springs Behavioral Health Hospital - Forensic Unit, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking a Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) for the evening shift in a union environment. The role supports structured inpatient behavioral health services within a secure unit, focusing on safety, observation, and therapeutic engagement.

Ideal candidates will have a high school degree, prior psychiatric care experience, and be prepared to obtain CPR and CPI within 30 days.

Formación

• High school degree preferred.
• Experience in a psychiatric health care facility preferred.
• CPR certification and CPI training within 30 days of employment.

Responsabilidades

• Observe and maintain a safe milieu with 15-minute checks and safety monitoring.
• Assist RN with vital signs, specimen collection, documentation, and patient education.
• Demonstrate effective milieu management to promote positive patient experiences.
• Escort patients to meals, breaks, appointments, and off-unit activities.
• Report changes in medical or psychiatric condition to the RN.
• Assist with admission tasks including belongings inventory and unit visitation.
