Job summary

The Good Samaritan Society in Algona, IA is hiring a Part-time Food Service Assistant for the Evening shift. You will monitor temperatures, set up and maintain a clean serving area, prepare and serve items, and handle cash transactions with a friendly, customer-focused approach.

You'll work about 12 hours weekly, with on-site duties and HACCP compliance, and you'll join a not-for-profit organization with over 100 years of senior care in a Christian environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 16 and ability to read/write instructions.
• Previous customer service and basic money handling experience preferred.
• Ability to perform basic math and follow oral and written directions.
• On-the-job training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and record food temperatures and HACCP guidelines.
• Set up and maintain a clean, sanitized serving area and restock items.
• Prepare, serve food items and process payments at the register.
