Job summary

Maglio Companies is seeking a Sanitation Worker to clean and sanitize production equipment, utensils, and facility areas in a hygienic environment to support safe, high-quality food production.

This role involves dismantling/reassembling equipment, using cleaning chemicals per SDS and company procedures, and complying with safety and food safety requirements. Evening/overnight shifts are common in a fast-paced facility.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous sanitation/janitorial/food manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to work safely with cleaning chemicals.
• Ability to work in cold, wet environments.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work overtime or weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize production equipment, food contact surfaces, and facility areas per SOPs.
• Disassemble and reassemble production equipment for cleaning.
• Use sanitation chemicals per company guidelines, SDS, and required concentrations.
• Follow GMPs and food safety requirements and sanitation policies.
• Maintain cleanliness of floors, drains, walls, ceilings, and surroundings.
• Identify and report equipment damage, maintenance concerns, or safety hazards.
• Maintain a safe work environment with proper PPE.
• Complete sanitation documentation accurately and timely.
• Support general housekeeping duties to maintain plant cleanliness.
• Perform other duties to support sanitation and production operations.
