Job summary

ServiceMaster Residential Co is hiring entry-level Evening Floor Technicians to join our Project Services Team in Newport News, VA. The role focuses on cleaning and restoring commercial floors on a Monday–Friday night schedule, with hands-on training and mentorship.

You will operate floor machines after training, handle materials safely, and contribute to high-quality, visible results while advancing toward leadership roles within a small, trusted crew.

Qualifications

• No prior floor-care experience required; hands-on training provided.
• Must have valid driver’s license with clean record.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Commit to a Monday–Friday evening schedule.
• Reliable, hardworking and team-oriented.
• Willingness to learn and follow directions.

Responsibilities

• Assist with stripping, waxing, buffing, and restoring commercial floors.
• Clean and maintain VCT, tile, and concrete surfaces.
• Operate floor machines (auto scrubbers, buffers, burnishers - training provided).
• Load and unload equipment at job sites.
• Follow safety and chemical handling guidelines.
• Complete projects on schedule and to quality standards.
