Job summary

Dialog Clubhouse in West LA, inside Equinox Sports Club LA, seeks an experienced Evening Floor Lead to guide our café team during the busy evening shift. You will model hospitality, uphold standards, and mentor teammates to deliver outstanding guest experiences.

The role emphasizes ownership, clear communication, and ensuring smooth operations in a fast-paced setting. This is a full-time position with pay at $22/hour plus tips and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Previous café/restaurant or hospitality experience; leadership experience required.
• Valid Food Handler’s Certificate and ABC License.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the team throughout the evening shift, setting the standard for hospitality, professionalism, and teamwork.
• Delegate responsibilities clearly and follow up to ensure tasks are completed correctly and on time.
• Keep the team organized and focused during busy service periods.
• Coach team members in real time and provide constructive feedback when expectations are not being met.
• Partner with upper management to communicate team updates, operational concerns, and opportunities for improvement.

Evening Floor Lead

Dialog Clubhouse in West LA, inside of the iconic Equinox Sports Club LA, is looking for an experienced and hospitality-driven Evening Floor Lead to join our team. This is a leadership role for someone who takes pride in creating exceptional guest experiences, developing their team, and keeping operations running smoothly—even during high-volume service.

We’re looking for a confident, reliable leader who leads by example, communicates clearly, holds high standards, and genuinely enjoys working in a fast-paced café environment.

Position Details

• Position: Evening Floor Lead
• Employment: Full-Time
• Schedule: Shift structures range between 12pm to 10pm Monday to Friday and 8am to 6pm Saturday and Sunday
• Availability: Open Availability
• Starting Pay: $22/hour + tips

What You’ll Do:

Lead the Team

• Lead and support the team throughout the evening shift, setting the standard for hospitality, professionalism, and teamwork.
• Delegate responsibilities clearly and follow up to ensure tasks are completed correctly and on time.
• Keep the team organized and focused during busy service periods.

Own the Guest Experience

• Ensure every guest receives fast, friendly, accurate, and genuine service.
• Step in to resolve guest concerns professionally and effectively while following company standards.
• Assist management with VIP guests and special requests, ensuring the experience reflects Dialog Café’s hospitality standards.
• Lead by example by creating a welcoming and positive environment for both guests and team members.

Maintain Operational Standards

• Ensure food and beverage quality, cleanliness, organization, maintenance, and security standards are consistently met.
• Ensure opening, closing, and departmental checklists are completed accurately.
• Monitor the floor and anticipate operational needs before they become problems.
• Ensure proper cash-handling, drawer reconciliation, and deposit procedures are followed.
• Help maintain a clean, organized, efficient, and customer-focused café throughout the shift.

You should have:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Previous café, restaurant, hospitality, or customer-service experience; leadership experience required.
• Valid Food Handler’s Certificate and ABC License.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to set boundaries.
• A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and professional judgment.
• The ability to remain calm, organized, and solutions-oriented in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Strong time-management and multitasking skills.
• The ability to prioritize competing responsibilities without losing attention to detail.
• A strong understanding of hospitality, service, cleanliness, and operational standards.
• The ability to coach, motivate, and hold team members accountable respectfully and consistently.
