Job summary

Harvard Maintenance, Inc. is seeking an Exceptional Team Member for a Janitorial Floor Tech role, responsible for cleaning, maintaining, and restoring floors across facilities using specialized equipment and following safety protocols.

Applicants with a high school diploma or equivalent and floor-care experience are preferred. The position offers a competitive hourly wage of USD 22.00 and a benefits package including medical, dental, life, LTD, and a 401K plan. Schedule: Mon-Fri 6pm–10pm.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in floor care, janitorial, or commercial cleaning is a plus.
• Knowledge of floor care techniques for various surfaces.
• Familiarity with operating and maintaining floor care equipment.
• Understanding of cleaning chemicals and safe usage practices.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality service and professionalism, upholding the standards and integrity of the Environmental Services Department.
• Clean, maintain, and care for a variety of floor types, including tile, carpet, and brick.
• Complete assigned tasks efficiently and on schedule.
• Follow established procedures for the correct use of cleaning chemicals and supplies.
• Operate, maintain, and care for floor cleaning equipment safely and properly.
• Consistently observe safety protocols, including the use of “wet floor” signs and other precautions.
• Work independently with minimal supervision.
• Promptly report any safety hazards or concerns.
