Job summary

GDI, Inc. in Rockford, IL is seeking a dedicated janitorial associate to perform floor cleaning and general custodial duties in commercial settings. You will operate buffers, scrubbers and carpet cleaners, sweep, mop, and vacuum to keep spaces clean and safe.

This on-site role follows a 3:00 PM–11:00 PM schedule (Mon, Tue, Thurs, Sat, Sun) and requires attention to detail, good communication with team, and physical stamina to lift and move equipment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform floor cleaning and maintenance tasks in commercial settings
• Operate floor cleaning equipment such as buffers, scrubbers, and carpet cleaners
• Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors to remove dirt and stains
• Strip, seal, wax, and polish floors using appropriate products
• Follow safety protocols to maintain a clean, hazard-free environment
• Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste properly
• Clean and sanitize restrooms and replenish supplies as needed
• Assist with other custodial duties as assigned
