Job summary

SBM Management Services, LP in Chandler, AZ is seeking a Floor Technician to perform floor care including waxing, stripping, buffing, and routine custodial tasks in a safety-conscious environment.

The role requires no formal education, 6 months to 1 year experience preferred; work Mon-Fri 4:00pm–12:30am, earning $17–$18 per hour. Applicants must be U.S. Citizens; compensation includes comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment.
• Knowledge of upkeep and care of the cleaning equipment.
• Knowledge of cleaning compounds and chemicals, and their safe, efficient use.

Responsibilities

• Comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures. Stop at risk behaviors in others and self.
• Work with other employees in a team to complete assignments.
• Maintain clean work area.
• Follow all company procedures, policies, and rules.
• Take direction and respond to supervision.
• Talk with lead, supervisor, co-workers, managers, and customers in a professional manner.
• Fill in during staff shortages, such as in custodial, recycle, or maintenance.
• Support shift lead in completing punch-list items.
• Use proper personal protective equipment that is required for assigned tasks.
• Present a professional appearance and conduct.
• Understand customer service and satisfaction.
• Understand reporting systems, and of the environment.
• Operate motorized cleaning equipment.
• Maintain daily upkeep of assigned area.
• Perform cleaning and maintenance of all floors: tile, carpet , and brick flooring.
• Complete work assignments in a timely manner.
• Utilize the appropriate chemicals and supplies according to procedure.
• Use and maintain equipment properly.
• Operate and maintain all equipment correctly and safely.
• Always observe safety precautions, using safety signs “wet floor”
• Ability to work without normal supervision
• Report safety hazards as appropriate
