Job summary

SBM Management Services, LP is seeking a Floor Technician to perform floor care tasks, including waxing, stripping, and buffing, while maintaining safety and adhering to company procedures. The role requires minimal education and may require forklift certification and a valid driver's license where applicable.

The position offers Mon-Fri shifts (4:00pm-12:30am) with a pay range of $17.00-$18.00 per hour and access to SBM's comprehensive benefits. Candidates must be U.S.

Qualifications

• No education requirement with 6 months to 1 year experience preferred.
• Forklift certification may be required.
• Driver's license may be required.

Responsibilities

• Comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures. Stop at risk behaviors in others and self.
• Work with other employees in a team to complete assignments.
• Maintain clean work area.
• Follow all company procedures, policies, and rules.
• Take direction and respond to supervision.
• Talk with lead, supervisor, co-workers, managers, and customers in a professional manner.
• Fill in during staff shortages, such as in custodial, recycle, or maintenance.
• Support shift lead in completing punch-list items.
• Use proper personal protective equipment that is required for assigned tasks.
• Present a professional appearance and conduct.
• Understand customer service and satisfaction.
• Understand reporting systems, and of the environment.
• Operate motorized cleaning equipment.
• Maintain daily upkeep of assigned area.
• Perform cleaning and maintenance of all floors: tile, carpet, and brick flooring.
• Complete work assignments in a timely manner.
• Utilize the appropriate chemicals and supplies according to procedure.
• Use and maintain equipment properly.
• Operate and maintain all equipment correctly and safely.
• Always observe safety precautions, using safety signs “wet floor”
• Ability to work without normal supervision.
• Report safety hazards as appropriate
