Job summary

Intermountain Health Layton Hospital is seeking a Part-Time Floor Care Tech to cover Sundays through Wednesdays (3:00pm–11:30pm) at Layton Hospital. You will clean and maintain hard floors and carpets, follow Joint Commission standards, and perform general housekeeping duties to support a sanitary, safe, and attractive environment.

The role offers benefits eligibility and a shift differential for evenings and weekends, with 32 hours per week and eight-hour shifts.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated communication skills to include differentiating color-coded labels and/or chemicals as well as following written and/or verbal directions.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule when needed to meet the needs of the department
• Demonstrated professional floor care experience. (Preferred)

Responsibilities

• Provides maintenance to hard surface floors by stripping, buffing, burnishing, scrubbing, and re-finishing according to procedure.
• Provides maintenance to carpeted floors by vacuuming, extracting, and performing spot removal.
• Uses cleaning and floor chemicals properly according to Joint Commission and OSHA standards.
• Operates and maintains assigned equipment according to established procedures
• Handles equipment maintenance needs including reporting problems with equipment and facility timely and appropriately.
• Performs general housekeeping duties as assigned.
