Job summary

Kaiser Sunnyside Medical Center in Oregon is seeking a Floor Care Technician to perform floor, carpet, upholstery cleaning and related housekeeping duties across facilities and clinics, following infection control protocols and safety procedures.

The role requires experience with hard floors, carpet, upholstery, use of cleaning chemicals and equipment; ability to read/write English; 40 hours weekly, evening shift, onsite.

Qualifications

• Experience in floor care across multiple surfaces (hard floors, carpet, upholstery).
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safe handling per OSHA standards.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Strip, wax, buff, and seal floors and maintain floor surfaces.
• Clean carpets, upholstery, windows, fixtures, and related areas.
• Follow infection control protocols and report safety issues promptly.
• Maintain equipment and report mechanical failures via work orders.
