Job summary

Harvard Protection Services is hiring a Fire & Life Safety Director to provide professional, customer-focused security and life safety services. The role leads staff, maintains a strong presence on site, and enforces safety policies while coordinating with site personnel.

Responsibilities include monitoring alarms, training staff, and performing inspections and reports. Schedule may vary by site; compensation includes health, dental, vision, and 401K benefits.

Qualifications

• State or municipality mandated security officer licenses.
• Minimum High School Diploma, GED or the equivalent.
• Must have Fire Safety Directors license.
• Knowledge of or ability to learn fire inspection operations, and procedures.
• Must have reliable means of communication and transportation.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Must have a security guard license or be able to obtain one within an acceptable period.
• Previous contract security, law enforcement, fire department, military, customer service experience preferred.
• Good organizations skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead staff and aid customers, employees, visitors, and guests.
• Maintain professional demeanor and visible presence in the facility.
• Monitor environment for suspicious or unsafe activity.
• Know the facility policies and enforce them.
• Follow emergency action planning and safety standards.
• Monitor alarms and systems as required.
• Train staff and develop team; assist in inspections and safety duties.
• May perform fire-fighting duties during emergencies.
• Prepare reports on inspections and safety recommendations.
• May perform additional security duties per site requirements.
