Job summary

Children's Wisconsin in Milwaukee is seeking an Emergency Department Experience Liaison to promote a culture of exceptional experience for children and families. Under the direction of the Patient Care supervisor, you will provide information and resources in the EDTC to support patient and family needs and help manage wait times in a fast-paced environment.

This role requires a high school diploma, 1+ years of customer service, plus strong de-escalation and communication skills.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or GED/HSED required.
• 1+ years customer service experience including conflict management.
• Experience in Emergency Department preferred.
• De-escalation experience preferred.
• Critical thinking to solve problems in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills; ability to work independently or in a team.
• Strong communication with patients, families, and health-care staff; diffusing negativity when needed.
• Value differences and interact courteously with patients and families.

Responsibilities

• Acts as an enterprise wide experience liaison in the EDTC to support patient and family needs.
• Promotes a comfortable environment and provides information/resources to families.
• Offers comfort items and distractions while supporting wait experience.
• Maintains overall cleanliness of waiting areas and collaborates with care teams.
