Children’s Wisconsin is seeking a casual Patient Safety Companion to support the Emergency Department Trauma Center in Milwaukee. The role involves 8-hour PM shifts weekly, with some weeknights and weekends, assisting with patient flow, observation, and basic care under supervision.

Ideal candidates are junior or senior nursing students who can commit to the schedule through November 2026, with attendance at a New Team Member Welcome session required on Nov 9.0

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; relevant experience helpful.

Responsibilities

• Maintains patient safety through surveillance and simple interventions for patients at safety risk.
• Promptly communicates observations and needs to the nurse.
• Performs delegated activities under RN direction and assists with hygiene, nutrition, and ambulation as needed.
