Quest Diagnostics Incorporated in Tampa, FL is seeking a Facilities Engineer to manage the operation, maintenance, and optimization of building systems in a life science facility. You will ensure reliable performance of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and BAS supporting critical laboratory operations.

The role involves preventive and corrective maintenance, rapid response to issues, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to maintain safety, efficiency, and compliance in all systems.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in facilities engineering or related technical field.
• Experience with HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, and plumbing in a commercial/industrial environment.
• Working knowledge of BAS for monitoring and controls.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Understanding of GMP standards and compliance in life science facilities.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, steam, and BAS.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to ensure uptime of critical infrastructure.
• Support clean rooms, labs, and controlled environments requiring precise temperature/humidity control.
• Ensure compliance with codes, GMP, FDA, and safety regulations through inspections and testing.
• Document maintenance activities and collaborate with cross-functional teams on upgrades and projects.
