Job summary

Township High School District 211 is hiring a 2nd Shift Custodian for a 12-month term on an hourly basis. The role runs Monday to Friday from 3:30 pm to 12:00 am, supporting cleaning, lamp replacement, event setup, and snow removal across school facilities.

The incumbent will maintain housekeeping security, manage fixed asset records, and collaborate with the Night Foreman and Facilities leadership to ensure safe and efficient operations.

Qualifications

• Familiar with maintenance equipment used for tile floors and carpet.
• Maintain safety habits and follow procedures during custodial work.
• Understand housekeeping practices across areas of campus.
• Demonstrate ability to follow instructions and perform tasks physically.

Responsibilities

• Clean areas assigned by the Night Foreman.
• Replace fluorescent and incandescent lamps in assigned areas.
• Maintain security in housekeeping areas.
• Set up buildings for rentals, events, and activities.
• Assist with snow removal operations.
• Maintain Fixed Asset records of inventory including disposals.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Night Foreman or Facilities leadership.
