Job summary

Township High School District 211 is seeking a Night Foreman to safeguard school facilities and oversee custodial operations on the second shift. The role focuses on building security, equipment upkeep, inventory inspection, and supervising staff for events and rentals.

The position is a 12‑month hourly role, working Monday through Friday from 3:00 pm to 12:00 am, with salary and benefits established by the District's Operations Maintenance Group.

Qualifications

• Possess strong leadership ability.
• Possess mechanical knowledge and skill to operate equipment used in floor and carpet maintenance.
• Ability to plan and supervise building custodial staff and personnel.
• Knowledge of housekeeping chemicals and safe application practices.
• Possess safety habits, skills and insight while performing duties.
• Familiar with swimming pool operation.
• Must be capable of understanding instructions and physically able to perform assigned tasks.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the security of the building and site.
• To insure that custodial equipment is kept in safe, clean and operable condition.
• Responsible for the inspection of custodial areas, equipment, and supply inventories.
• Supervise second shift set-ups for school activities, rentals, and continuing education.
• Assists with snow removal operations.
• Participates in custodial evaluations.
• Maintains a nightly log of building activities.
• Performs other duties assigned by the Building and Grounds Manager.
