Job summary

SBM Management Services, LP is seeking a Custodian to maintain cleanliness and sanitation across assigned areas. You will perform janitorial tasks and follow daily schedules while adhering to safety rules and procedures.

Responsibilities include handling hazardous waste, operating cleaning equipment, and maintaining a professional, team-oriented work environment. Shift aligns with 3:00pm–11:30pm hours, with compensation $16.00–$17.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• No formal education required; 3-6 months training/experience preferred.
• May be required to have a valid driver’s license; forklift certification may be required.
• Bilingual a plus; strong reading, verbal and written communication.
• Knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment; safe chemical handling.

Responsibilities

• Perform janitorial duties.
• Perform all duties listed on the daily schedule.
• Perform Hazardous Waste responsibilities including collecting, classifying, sorting, storing, shipping and receiving, labeling, cleaning, recycling, packaging of special and hazardous waste.
• Operate motorized cleaning equipment.
• Maintain daily upkeep of assigned area.
• Report incidents and hazardous conditions to supervisor.
• Comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures.
• Stop at risk behavior of others and self.
• Perform work assignments in a team with other employees.
• Perform repetitive tasks.
• Maintain clean work area.
• Follow all protocols, company procedures, policies, and rules.
• Take direction and respond to supervision.
• Talk with lead, supervisor, co-workers, managers, and customers in a professional manner.
• Fill in during staff shortage.
• Support shift lead in completing punch-list items.
• Use proper personal protective equipment.
• Present a professional appearance and conduct.
• Understand customer service and satisfaction.
• Understand reporting systems, and of the environment.
