Job summary

GDI Services Inc US is seeking a custodial supervisor to lead daily cleaning operations at our Warrendale area facilities, with a 5pm–1am schedule, Monday to Friday. You will oversee staff, ensure safety compliance, and maintain high cleaning standards across sites.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years in custodial or commercial cleaning, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage inventory and respond to client needs while upholding OSHA safety rules.

Qualifications

• Experience: Typically 2–3 years in custodial or commercial cleaning.
• Leadership: Strong communication and conflict-resolution skills to guide a team.
• Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with heavy equipment and OSHA safety rules.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift heavy supplies throughout the shift.

Responsibilities

• Staff Management: Assign daily cleaning duties, and train new or existing custodial personnel.
• Quality Control: Inspect completed work regularly to ensure adherence to company and health standards.
• Inventory Control: Monitor stock levels of cleaning supplies and equipment, placing orders when items run low.
• Safety & Compliance: Enforce safety protocols, including the correct handling and dilution of industrial cleaning chemicals.
• Operations Support: Resolve staff conflicts, handle client complaints, and step in to clean during staff shortages.
