Job summary

GDI, Inc. seeks an on-site Janitorial Supervisor to oversee and train the cleaning staff, ensuring safety and adherence to the customer’s quality standards. The role includes daily supervision, shift planning, and responding to client concerns as part of a dedicated facilities team.

You will inspect sites, enforce safety policies, coordinate with management, and manage routine cleaning tasks such as restroom, breakroom, and general area cleaning to maintain high standards.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of janitorial supervisory experience preferred.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to show judgment and to work independently and be able to lead the team.
• High integrity required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and train the work of the janitorial staff in the building.
• Designate shift and area work assignments.
• Manage employee relations or performance issues quickly and appropriately; document and report to management or HR.
• Inspect the jobsite regularly to identify quality concerns or necessary work.
• Communicate needs for special project work to management.
• Operate floor cleaning equipment as needed (buffer, walk behind, spot-carpet cleaner).
• Respond to customer concerns or complaints promptly and effectively.
• Enforce safety policies; report and investigate accidents.
• Complete required training courses.
