Job summary

TOURISTS WELCOME in North Adams, MA seeks a PM server to provide high level food and beverage service to guests, greet customers, take orders, and deliver room service. You will learn the menu, prepare syrups, and coordinate with the Kitchen while assisting with pool service in the summer.

The ideal candidate has 2 years of hospitality experience and a High School diploma, with the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• 2 years related experience in hospitality or service industry.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
• Ability to understand other computer programs (i.e. PMS and POS).
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
• The job may require lifting up to 50 pounds daily; larger lifts require two people.
• The role may require sitting, standing, or walking for up to eight hours per day.
• Handling hot beverages and delivering trays with hot food/beverages.

Responsibilities

• Provide a high level of food and beverage service to our house guests.
• Greet guests warmly and describe menu offerings.
• Take and place orders efficiently and relay special requests.
• Prepare and serve food and drinks per guest orders.
• Make timely deliveries of Room Service orders.
• Maintain communication with the Kitchen to ensure timely delivery of dishes.
• Keep Bar, FOH spaces, and beverage inventory organized and clean.
• Maintain a high level of cleanliness and safety in the work area.
• Support the Front Desk and Guest Experience team when needed.
• Assist with pool set up and seasonal pool service.
• Follow shift checklists and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Practice safety with all equipment to ensure safe working conditions.
