Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a part-time Environmental Services Aide at Aurora West Allis Medical Center. The role supports cleaning of patient care and clinical areas, restrooms, and common spaces, with a 3pm–11:30pm schedule and every other weekend/holiday.

Applicants should be able to follow instructions, work independently, and deliver excellent customer service. No formal education or prior experience is required. Benefits and total rewards are described in the notice.

Responsibilities

• Cleans patient care areas, surgical areas, restrooms, conference rooms, lobbies, offices, elevators, and stairwells.
• Cleans surfaces including ceilings, vents, walls, doors, furniture, beds, and windows; assists with spills as requested.
• Dusts and mops floors in patient areas, corridors, and restrooms.
• Replaces cubicle and window coverings.
• Gathers and disposes recyclables, trash, and medical waste; handles hazardous waste per guidelines.
• Sorts, stocks and delivers linens; prepares soiled linen for transport.
• Cleans and prepares dismissal and transfer units and distributes non-medical supplies.
• Fills and cleans supply dispensers.
• Inventories linens and cleaning supplies; orders additional items as needed.
• Reports mechanical failures or unsafe conditions to the supervisor.
