Qualifications

• Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field required; Masters degree preferred
• 3 – 5 years ESOL teaching experience preferred
• Experience working with a diverse adult population (16+ yrs old) with complex socio-economic needs
• Able to demonstrate experience with effective lesson planning, scaffolding, differentiated instruction, formative assessment and student engagement
• Proficient in use of Google Suite with strong technological aptitude

Responsibilities

• Provide concurrent Second Language Acquisition Reading, Writing, Speaking and Listening instruction to in-person and remote students
• Evaluate student progress and adjust instruction based on formative assessment outcomes
• Collaborate with the Assistant Director of Curriculum and Instruction and Advisors to optimize student progress toward goals
• Prepare and submit standards-based lesson plans aligned to program curriculum ahead of each class session
• Participate in professional development and adhere to safety policies
