Job summary

Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide patient-centered care through the nursing process and coordinate with the care team to achieve optimal outcomes. The RN will assess patients, administer medications, and educate patients and families while adhering to infection control and safety standards.

Responsibilities include emergency response activities, documenting care, and participating in performance improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of clinical nursing experience or student rotations in an acute care setting.
• State RN licensure (or compact) required.
• BCLS certification required; ACLS/PALS/NRP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care per nursing process.
• Conduct thorough patient assessments and document findings accurately.
• Administer medications and monitor for side effects.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other staff to care plans.
• Respond to emergencies and participate in CPR/code team as needed.
• Educate patients and families on conditions and post-discharge care.
• Maintain infection control and safety standards throughout care.
• Document care thoroughly and participate in quality improvement.
