Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking an Environmental Services Technician II for Swedish Hospital in Chicago, IL. The role is part-time (20hrs/week) with evenings (5pm–10pm) and rotating weekends and holidays.

The hourly pay range is $17.43–$24.40, influenced by experience. Reporting to the Environmental Services Manager, you will perform daily patient room and ancillary area cleaning, including isolation/terminal cleaning, and ensure safe handling of cleaning chemicals and supplies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Hospital experience preferred.
• Ability to safely use cleaning chemicals.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Clean patient rooms and ancillary areas daily per standards.
• Handle isolation/terminal cleaning including negative pressure rooms.
• Maintain supplies and clean carts/equipment daily.
• Follow cleaning chemical safety and labeling procedures.
• Communicate with area manager to resolve issues and maintain standards.
• Report maintenance needs and adhere to hospital policies.
