Job summary

Saint Alphonsus Health System seeks a Full-Time Housekeeper (Environmental Services Technician) in Boise on the evening shift. You will clean and disinfect patient areas, replenish supplies, and prepare rooms to support safe, comfortable patient care.

The role requires adherence to safety standards, effective communication with staff, and the ability to lift up to 50 lb. Training is provided, and a high school diploma is preferred.

Qualifications

• Able to communicate/interface in an effective and positive manner with hospital staff, patients, and visitors to provide directions, hospital information, guest room services, etc.
• Able to follow written and verbal instructions, communicate by telephone, and initiate communication with peers about priorities for tasks to be done.

Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect various areas within the hospital to maximize infection prevention, enhance patient safety, and increase the visual appeal.
• Prepare patient rooms by replenishing supplies, cleaning the floor, making the bed, and more.
• Collect, store, and dispose of numerous medical-related items from patient treatment areas, and may perform project work such as cleaning carpets and refrigerators.
