Job summary

Advocate Health in Winston-Salem is seeking an Environmental Services/Housekeeping associate to perform cleaning and sanitation across assigned areas. Responsibilities include dusting, washing, floor care, waste removal, and restocking; requires careful handling of cleaning chemicals and adherence to safety protocols.

You will operate housekeeping equipment, meet time schedules, and participate in in-service trainings. High school diploma or GED preferred and one year experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
• One year experience preferred.
• Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with co-workers.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete cleaning of assigned areas including dusting, sanitizing, washing windows, ceilings, and floors.
• Change and restock restrooms, replace light bulbs, and report repairs.
• Handle cleaning chemicals and disinfectants, and work indoors with possible outdoor duties.
• Remove waste, collect soiled linen, manage sharps containers and recycling.
• Maintain tools and equipment, report malfunctions to maintenance staff.
• Uphold safety, infection control guidelines, and department quality standards.
• Attend required in-service trainings and meet time schedules.
