Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a housekeeping attendant to clean patient care areas, restrooms, lobbies, and offices. You will clean environmental surfaces, assist with spills, and maintain supply closets with emphasis on safety and infection control.

You will follow written and oral instructions, work independently, and perform tasks without disrupting doctors, nurses, patients, or staff. Physical tasks include lifting, bending, and operating cleaning equipment as required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Clean patient care and common areas including beds, rooms, restrooms, and hallways.
• Disinfect and maintain environmental surfaces (ceilings, vents, walls, doors, furniture).
• Dust and mop floors in patient areas and corridors.
• Restock and organize supplies and linen.
• Report unsafe conditions or equipment failures to supervisor.
• Operate cleaning equipment safely and without disrupting clinical operations.
